Hillary's jaw dropped

August 9, 2012

Dear Patriot,

Imagine the looks on the faces of State Department workers when ATP delivered 150,000 public comments -- all in favor of the Keystone XL Pipeline -- last week!

Thank you so much for signing your petition.  Your action is really making a difference!

In fact, just recently, the Obama Administration allowed the southern portion of the pipeline to go through with construction.

But this is only one small step -- and allowing construction of a portion of the pipeline makes it that much more crucial that Barack Obama allows the entire pipeline to move forward.

That’s why I’m counting on the generous support of folks like you to help ATP continue to fight the Keystone Pipeline battle and the many others we face against the radical environmentalists.

ATP is the ONLY national grassroots organization designed to mobilize Americans from all over the country to fight back against the radical environmentalists’ schemes.

You see, the radical environmentalists and their Big Government pals are not only targeting oil production and pushing gas prices sky-high.

They’re doing everything they can to shut down coal-fired energy plants and regulating everything from what type of water heater you have in your home to what kind of light bulbs we use!

So today, our work has never been more important.

ATP’s mobilization of the American people on these critical issues could be the difference between lower energy prices and a free and prosperous future for Americans -- or even higher energy prices, a stagnant economy and less freedom.

But our success at defeating the radical environmentalists depends on the generosity of concerned folks like you.

That’s why I hope you’ll agree to make a generous contribution of $250, $150, $100, $50 to help ATP in our battle against the radical environmentalists.

Even if you can only chip in $20, $15 or $10 bucks -- it’ll be a tremendous help in this fight.

In the coming days, I’ll be sending you some information about some of these important battles you and I are facing against the radical environmentalists.

Of course, you and I are knee-deep in the midst of one of the most crucial election years in our nation’s history, so its critical folks like you and me stand up and fight back against the radical environmentalists.

Our future -- and our economy -- could very well depend on it.

Sincerely,

Donny Ferguson
Executive Director

P.S.    Thank you for signing your petition to the State Department demanding they allow construction of the critical Keystone XL Pipeline.

You petition -- along with 150,000 others -- sent a loud-and-clear message that the American people are tired of the radical environmentalists keeping our economy under lock and key and telling you and I how to live.

Of course, this fight is far from over -- so I’m going to continue to ask for your help and support in the future.

That’s why I hope you’ll agree to make a generous contribution of $250, $150, $100, $50 to help ATP fight these important battles.

China attacks American gun rights

Dear patriot,

The communist Chinese are trash talking our Second Amendment . . . again!

This time it’s not whispers in the halls of the United Nations during the “Small Arms Treaty” conference, it’s in the commies’ insulting annual report on U.S. human rights.

From China’s report, I quote, “The United States prioritizes the right to keep and bear arms over the protection of citizens’ lives and personal security and exercises lax firearm possession control, causing rampant gun ownership.”

If you’re like me, it’s appalling to read slime from communists who have a list of human rights violations stretching from our amber waves of grain to their sopping wet rice paddies.

The right to keep and bear arms IS a human right!

The Second Amendment protects our personal security from criminals and ultimately from the government itself.

I don’t need to cite the overwhelming number of studies proving gun rights protect personal security and life itself -- that’s just plain common sense.

George Mason, the co-author of our Second Amendment, said, “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.

The communist Chinese government has learned that lesson well.

You can easily find pictures of Chinese police burning whole piles of firearms taken from their citizen’s homes -- leaving these people defenseless against the hostile communist regime.

Not surprisingly, the commies in China sound an awful lot like our own homegrown gun-grabbers.

Anti-gun zealots in the U.S. proclaim, "We have to start ratcheting down the firepower in civilian hands in the United States."

These groups would like nothing more than a worldwide ban on firearms and they nearly succeeded at setting the stage for one at the recent UN "Small Arms" Conference
. . .

. . . that is until your National Association for Gun Rights rushed into action.

China is one of the anti-gun crowd's key international allies at the UN and shockingly they have growing and powerful influence over our own U.S. Congress.

Washington bureaucrats love the influx of money from the Red Chinese and would do almost anything to keep the cash flowing -- even if it means selling off our Second Amendment rights.

That’s why the National Association for Gun Rights is leading the fight against assaults on our Constitution from third-world dictators, communist thugs and domestic gun-grabbers!

With your help we were able to temporarily beat back the so-called UN “Small Arms Treaty.”

The stalled UN “Small Arms Treaty” was only the first round in what will be a long battle to preserve our Second Amendment for future generations.

Will you consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help NAGR protect our Second Amendment rights from international bureaucrats hell-bent on taking them?

We cannot be dictated to by foreign countries. Especially about our right to keep and bear arms. Our sovereignty and safety depend on it.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown
Executive Vice President

TSA agents abuse seven-year-old disabled girl

Transportation Security Agency agents at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport took government goonery to a new low, singling out and harassing a family because of their seven-year-old disabled daughter.

As the Frank family first entered the security line they explained to agents their daughter Dina cannot go through the X-ray machine, as suffers from cerebral palsy and must use crutches to walk.  If agents wanted to search her physically they should introduce themselves to her and be gentle, as she is developmentally disabled and frightened by strangers.

Instead, TSA handled her aggressively, terrifying the little girl.  Dina’s father pulled out his phone to videotape the incident, at which point “the woman started screaming at me and cursing me and threatening me.”

After determining the seven-year-old disabled girl on crutches was not a terrorist, TSA agents allowed the Frank family to proceed.

But as they boarded their flight to Florida, TSA agents pulled them off the plane and forced the entire family to go through the security process again.

The Frank family missed their flight.

“They still attack her like she’s Osama bin Laden,” Dina’s mother said said. “It’s not fair.”

Fact -> The Tea Party is a libertarian movement

A new Cato Institute study finds the Tea Party movement “has been dominated by a strong ‘functionally libertarian’ flavor since its inception, downplaying social issues such as gay marriage in favor of reforming entitlements, taxes and reigning in the scope of government,” Red Alert Politics reports.
It establishes that the Tea Party movement grew out of libertarian frustration with former President George W. Bush’s fiscal policies, particularly the TARP bank bailouts and their frustration with the subsequent bailouts – issues polls cited by the study found that libertarians were angrier about than many conservatives.
Even Christian Broadcasting Network political correspondent David Brody  conceded in his recent book  “Teavangelicals”  that evangelical activists and other social conservatives who are active in the Tea Party act like libertarians and have mostly downplayed social issues for the sake of the cause, according to the study.
“[S]ince the Tea Party was “founded on economic bedrock issues, evangelicals typically gloss over these differences for the sake of standing in unison to fight a worthy, fiscally disciplined cause,” the Cato report says.
Study authors David Kirby and Emily Ekins contend that the movement shows that the center of American politics has moved in a more libertarian direction. They cite numerous polls showing that Tea Party members say that economic issues are more important than social issues.

So-called 'assault weapons' safer than fists as another gun-grabbing myth flops

The Washington Times‘ Emily Miller exposes the “assault rifle” myth for what it is, a shameless lie intended to terrorize people out of supporting their constitutional rights.
Though it is one of the most popular rifles sold to civilians, the AR-15 is rarely used in crimes, presumably because it’s not readily concealed. The most recent FBI figures show just 358 of the 8,775 murders by firearm in 2010 involved rifles of any type. By comparison, 745 people were beaten to death with only hands that year, but no one has called for outlawing fists.
Mrs. Feinstein joins notorious gun-grabbers like New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in seeking to vilify guns based on their appearance, not their performance. The AR-15 series was designed to look like the military’s M-16, but it is semi-automatic. That means it fires only one round when the trigger is pulled, and that round is no more powerful than any shot by an ordinary hunting rifle.
The left applies the scary term “assault weapons” to play on emotional responses, but it isn’t working anymore. More Americans oppose banning so-called “assault rifles” (53 percent) than favor it (43 percent), according to a Gallup poll from October 2011. The poll also showed the lowest level of support for new gun laws in history.

Obama drill bans killing jobs, recovery

“House Republicans on Thursday said the Obama administration’s resource development policies have slowed economic progress by keeping public lands off limits to exploration,” The Hill reports.

“The stop-and-go oil and gas drilling on federally controlled Alaskan lands offers a stark contrast to the rush by firms to drill in North Dakota’s privately owned Bakken shale formation, said Ed Whitfield (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on Energy and Power.

“‘The main difference between Alaska and North Dakota is that Alaska has far more areas that are federally owned and -controlled. And the Obama administration has substantially cut back on new energy leasing in these federal lands and offshore areas,’ Whitfield said in his opening remarks.

‘North Dakota gives us a glimpse of what would be possible in many other parts of the country if only the feds took the handcuffs off.’”

The hearing provided another setting for Republicans to lament what they see as Obama’s hard-line position against fossil fuels. They say Obama will slow an economic rebound by limiting oil and gas drilling on federal lands.

Ecoterrorists growing more violent

“There is a ‘growing radicalized environmentalist faction’ in Canada that is opposed to the country’s energy sector policies,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police report.

“The RCMP criminal intelligence assessment, focusing on Canadian waters, cites potential dangers from environmental activists to offshore oil platforms and hazardous marine shipments, representing perhaps the starkest assessment of such threats by the Canadian security community to date,” CBC reports.

“The Canadian law enforcement and security intelligence community have noted a growing radicalized environmentalist faction within Canadian society that is opposed to Canada’s energy sector policies,” says the RCMP report.

“Tactics employed by activist groups are intended to intimidate and have the potential to escalate to violence.”

Despite claims, emails reveal Obama personally briefed on Solyndra

Obama administration claims they didn't green-light the failed Solyndra loan program that funneled half a billion dollars to a top donor, despite warnings from auditors, have been debunked by emails showing Obama was personally briefed on the scheme, The Washington Post reports.
President Obama’s staff arranged for him to be personally briefed last summer on a loan program to help clean-energy companies, two months before the program was thrust into headlines by the collapse of its flagship, the solar company Solyndra, records show.
About the same time, then-White House Chief of Staff William Daley resolved a dispute among administration officials over another project in the program, clearing the way for a $1.4 billion loan, according to documents and sources familiar with the situation.
The documents, a series of e-mails among Energy Department staff members involved in managing the program, provide new details about the level of White House involvement in the controversial initiative. White House officials have said in the past that final decisions about which companies would receive the loan guarantees were made by career staff members at the Energy Department, not political appointees...
...That loan program, a signature piece of the Obama administration’s effort to stimulate the economy, has become a major issue in this year’s presidential campaign. Republicans have charged that the program wasted critical stimulus money meant to create jobs, spending it instead on ill-advised projects that benefited Democratic fundraisers...

...Solyndra, a Silicon Valley start-up that manufactured solar panels, received a half-billion dollar federal loan from the program before suddenly closing last August. A short time later, the FBI raided its offices as part of a criminal investigation into whether the company misled the government about its finances.
The government is expected to recover just $24 million of the $527 million that taxpayers lent the company. Republicans have accused the administration of favoring Solyndra because its largest investors were funds linked to Oklahoma billionaire George Kaiser, an Obama donor.
Obama had been warned Solyndra was about to collapse and was under investigation, but pushed for the half-billion dollar giveaway to his political cronies.  Obama then skirted federal laws requiring taxpayers to be paid first in the event of a bankruptcy, allowing several of his donors and top California union bosses to collect loaned money ahead of taxpayers.

ATP pumps 150,000 Keystone pipeline citizen petitions into State Department

Washington, D.C. – With the go-ahead just given for construction of the southern portion of the Keystone XL oil pipeline – which would stretch from Canada to the Louisiana Coast if the entire project is ultimately approved – one national grassroots organization isn’t taking anything for granted.

As the public comment phase of approval ended yesterday – where the U.S. State Department gathers comments from the general public for or against a project – American Tradition Partnership (ATP), a national grassroots organization dedicated to fighting radical environmentalists, delivered over 150,000 public comments generated from Americans all over the country.

“This is an astounding number of public comments and proves what the polls are saying are true,” said Donny Ferguson, ATP’s Executive Director.

“Americans are sick and tired of the Obama administration’s kowtowing to radical environmentalists, and – whether it’s oil, natural gas or coal – they want to see America’s energy future secured.”

A Pew Research Poll from February showed nearly two-thirds of Americans who had heard about the Keystone XL Pipeline project supported its completion.

Proponents of the Keystone XL Pipeline – including ATP – argue construction of the pipeline would create tens of thousands of new jobs and ultimately lower fuel prices as the pipeline would make it easier to bring new oil to the global market.

“American Tradition Partnership is the one group out there that is taking the radical environmentalists head-on at the grassroots level.,” continued Mr. Ferguson.

“Those 150,000 public comments should send a message both to President Obama and members of Congress.  Americans don’t want to see our economy locked up under the radical environmentalists lock and key, and they’re prepared to take action.

“November is rapidly approaching.  Politicians who ignore voters’ wishes will pay a severe price.”

A message from Congressman Steve Stockman

I hope everyone will join me in wishing all the best to Stephen Takach for US Congress and his lovely family. Thank you for being willing to make the tough sacrifices to serve our Republic. God bless you.

I also look forward to seeing Mr. Max Martin across our district over the next three months as he and I make our cases to the voters. I wish you safe travels and friendly conversations.

Obama campaign pockets cash from taxpayer-funded Solyndra bosses

"Steve Westly, a financier whose money-raising prowess helped to snag him a post on the administration’s energy advisory board, and Matt Rogers, a former Energy Department senior adviser who helped to approve the Solyndra loan, were spotted by reporters at the $35,800-per-person fundraiser for the president’s re-election campaign," The Washington Times reports this morning.

"Mr. Westly sent warnings to the president not to attend an event at Solyndra's headquarters in the Bay area because of shaky finances at the solar energy company, which had received a fast-tracked $535 million federal loan guarantee in 2010 as part of the administration’s economic stimulus program. Mr. Rogers was partly responsible for overseeing stimulus awards at the Energy Department.

"They were among about 60 wealthy donors who attended the fundraiser at the swanky home of progressive activist Quinn Delaney and real estate developer Wayne Jordan, a big Obama bundler, in Piedmont, Calif., near Oakland."

Obama promised the rent-seekers "his re-election would ensure that the government promotes 'smart regulations … that are going to deal with issues like climate change.'"

And that's how Green Crony Capitalism works.  "Green" speculators, knowing their product is a sham, bankroll the election of candidates who will ensure profits with taxpayer-funded bailouts.  Their candidate wins, the candidate votes to shovel taxpayer money into their pockets and then the "green" speculator declares bankruptcy and splits the loot between himself and the "green" politician, which is used to elect even more of them.

It's a vicious cycle of taxpayer money being laundered through "green" companies to finance the election of leftists who will vote to launder more money.  And Obama's running the laundromat.
The only way to break it is to stop taxpayer financing of the "green" energy proven failure.

Obama’s ‘you didn’t build that’ snarl mirrors socialist beliefs

“In a campaign stump speech in Roanoke, Virginia last Friday, President Obama clearly revealed that he believes individual success in this country is largely driven by luck and other people, rather than hard work, ingenuity, or productivity. (The speech is similar to a 2011 speech by Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, condemning individualism.),” Reason‘s Emily Elkins writes.

“Obama’s claim is in stark contrast with what most of the public thinks. Since polls first began asking about this, upwards of 60 percent of Americans believe hard work matters more than lucky breaks, inheritance, or connections in determining success and wealth.”

But Obama’s attack on individualism goes even further.

“It is notable that Obama’s dismissal of the idea of hard work leading to success goes beyond Warren’s commentary, which made the less controversial point that successful business people make use of publicly funded infrastructure. The president on the other hand stated, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Presuming this was not a verbal flub (and Obama spokeswoman Lis Smith indicates it was not), Obama’s belief is a radical departure from popular notions about the relationship between individual initiative and success,” Elkins writes.
Obama’s view of individual success differs from the American view, but is perfectly in line with that of socialist countries.

“63 percent of Americans believe that hard work usually brings a better life compared to 37 percent of the French, 45 percent of the Dutch, and 46 percent of Norwegians. Only 14 percent of Americans primarily believe that success is more a matter of luck and connections, compared to a third of the French, Dutch, and Norwegians,” Elkins writes.

Ask Stephen Takach to stop the sleaze

Now Stephen Takach's campaign is using fake female Twitter spambots (girls showing cleavage, girls showing legs, names like "CuteModel") to spam out the liberal Houston Chronicle's attack on Steve Stockman and support of him.

Using what are practically p-rnobots to send out sleazy stories is beneath his dignity.

New Stockman billboard

New low: Stephen Takach doctors photo of Dr. James Dobson for personal attacks

If you've seen Stephen Takach's personal attack mailings, that have a phony map falsifying the location of Congressman Steve Stockman's home, you probably noticed his photo of Stockman appears to be doctored.

It is. Takach blacked out Christian leader Dr. James Dobson so you couldn't see him visiting with Stockman, and then used the doctored photo to accuse others of deception.

Fake maps? Fake photos? Fake Twitter accounts? Where does it end?

13 year old girl schools liberal newspaper

Dear Editor,

When I received this week’s edition of the Silsbee Bee, I saw the article, “Candidates give views before runoff elections”.

First of all, anybody can clearly discern that the author of this contribution is in strong favor of Stephen Takach. It is shocking that your newspaper ever allowed such an extremely outright bias in a front-page story, when it should only have been permitted in an editorial.
However, what disturbed me to the greatest degree was the shameless slander about Steve Stockman used in lieu of facts. In the article, the author attacks Mr. Stockman on trivial personal matters, such as: the location of his house, the “re-elect” on his signs, and which parts of our district he previously represented.

Seriously, if you want to attack Congressman Stockman, can’t you find anything wrong with his positions on the issues? No, you can’t, because true Republican, conservative, Christians can’t find anything, within reason, wrong with his agenda. On the other hand, Stephen Takach has twisted policies- he thinks that government and small businesses should work together. Steve Stockman believes that government should get off the backs of small business, and I agree.

Also, on the personal matters, I will note that Mr. Stockman lives about two miles from the district lines. Was he supposed to purchase a new house and create thousands of dollars of debt, only to have the district redrawn in another two or three years? If you do a small bit of research, you’ll discover that “re-elect” is the correct term. It makes plenty of sense that if he was elected once, the second time he is elected, he is “re-elected”. And for this district: nobody has represented it in its current form. Nobody has represented the entire new district, but Mr. Stockman has represented parts of it. So, it’s obvious that complaining about how he wasn’t in congress on behalf of this district is foolish. By the way, have you ever noticed that Takach has NO political experience whatsoever? He states that his entire political career has consisted of serving on the board of a Homeowner’s Association. Also, he’s only voted in two Republican primaries. Along with Barack Hussein Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee, Mr. Takach has now been endorsed by the Houston Chronicle, and apparently the Silsbee Bee.

Congressman Stockman has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America, and Citizen’s Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. For the pro-life cause, the National Pro-Life Alliance has endorsed him.

Takach, on the contrary, only has local borderline Republicans, RINO’s, and would-be politicians for his endorsements. Also, if he thinks he looks pro-2nd Amendment in his pictures, he must try not to lock his elbows. I’ve never shot a gun in my life and I know not to do that! He’s a pitiful political pushover, and it’s embarrassing that he actually calls himself a conservative, and that so many of our citizens are believing it.

Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund Endorses Steve Stockman for Congress

Important race in Texas. Join the Steve Stockman for Congress campaign to protect the Second Amendment.

Dear Friend of the Second Amendment,

One of the most important elections in the entire country is taking place in the Lone Star State - and it's largely happening under the radar.

Former Congressman Steve Stockman is a proven, trusted and vigilant defender of the right to keep and bear arms. While serving in Congress in the mid-1990s, Rep. Stockman introduced more pro-gun legislation than any other member of Congress.

And he went toe-to-toe fighting President Clinton and certain Republican leaders in working to undo the semi-auto gun ban, the Brady Act, and other gun control laws.

In other words, Steve Stockman not only fought against bad gun bills, but he also proactively introduced legislation to repeal unconstitutional laws already on the books.

Steve StockmanIt's called leadership and guts - and Steve Stockman has them both.
Now Stockman is running in Texas' 36th Congressional District. He emerged as one of the top two vote getters in a primary last month, and is on the ballot in a July 31 runoff election. That means Steve has less than two months to get his pro-liberty, pro-Second Amendment message out to hundreds of thousands of voters, and he needs our help to get the job done.

Even if you live outside of the 36th Congressional District, you can take part in   this crucial race.

First, you can visit Steve online and make a contribution by clicking here. Elections cost a lot of money, and Steve needs to stay on the air right up to the election contacting pro-gun voters.

Second, and equally important, is to volunteer some of your time to the Stockman campaign.

Whether it's delivering yard signs, passing out information, making calls - there is something that each person can contribute. If you live in or even near the 36th Congressional District, please join the Stockman team by giving of your time.  Click here to sign up as a volunteer. You can also call 832-704-6900.  Leave a message and someone from the campaign will get back to you as soon as they can.

If we all work together, if we all pitch in a little, it will add up to victory on  July 31st.  I know this is a busy election year, but when it comes to protecting the Second Amendment, no race is of greater importance than the 36th District of Texas.

So please join with GOA in support of Steve Stockman for Congress.

Sincerely,

Tim Macy
Vice Chairman

PS - Less than six weeks. That's how much time remains for Steve Stockman to contact hundreds of thousands of voters with his pro-liberty message in his race for the 36th Congressional District of Texas.

Please support Steve with your financial contribution by clicking here.

Equally important, if you are able to donate some of your time as a volunteer to the campaign, sign up by clicking here or calling 832-704-6900.

American Tradition Partnership applauds feds’ decision to not mess with Texas

Fish and Wildlife Services follows science, declines to place sagebrush lizard on Endangered Species List
Environmentalists sought listing to thwart energy development in West Texas

WASHINGTON – The nation’s largest grassroots advocate of rational environmental policy applauds today’s announcement from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that it will not place the dunes sagebrush lizard on the so-called “Endangered Species List.”

“This is a victory for science, energy jobs and Texas,” said American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson, a native Texan. “Texans refuse to have their jobs and childrens’ futures stolen by these out-of-touch lizardlickers.  God bless Texas and keep on drilling.”

Had the lizard been listed it would have potentially thwarted energy development and economic growth in West Texas and eastern New Mexico.  Scientific studies by Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University backed up science, showing the lizard was not endangered.  Environmentalist groups continued to push for the erroneous listing, pointing out they would use it to shut down energy development.

“Texans especially owe a debt of gratitude to Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, who led the fight against what he calls ‘reptile dysfunction,’” said Ferguson.  “Commissioner Patterson, and ATP, will continue to fight ongoing efforts to block energy development using bogus listings.  These groups, often funded by the government itself, are exploiting a flawed Endangered Species Act to seek bogus listings and use that to attack anything that spreads jobs or prosperity.  We’re going to cut that off, and unlike a lizard’s tail, it won’t grow back.”

Feds decline to mess with Texas, refuse to declare sagebrush lizard ‘endangered’

Science won another round against environmentalism when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service today announced it would not place the dunes sagebrush lizard on the so-called “Endangered Species List.”

Environmentalists led an assault to place the lizard on the ESL as part of a plan to stop oil drilling in West Texas and eastern New Mexico.  Efforts to follow scientific research and block the bogus listing were led by Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, who termed the effort to block oil drilling as “reptile dysfunction.”

Scientific studies by Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University backed up science, showing the lizard was not endangered.

Undeterred, environmentalists plan to branch out and attack energy exploration by attempting to add as many as 20 other unendangered Texas animals to the Endangered Species List, including the lesser prairie chicken and several species of snails and salamanders.

Stockman calls on Jackson to apologize for lying to reporters and voters

Stockman calls on Jackson to apologize for lying to reporters and voters
All statements about Jackson given full citation, in detail
'Independent source' touted to media by Jackson actually a neighbor and personal friend
“Mike Jackson likes his claims the same way he likes his immigrants – undocumented.”

WEBSTER, TEXAS - Congressman Steve Stockman called on State Senator Mike Jackson Sunday to apologize to the media for issuing a blatantly phony press release calling a recent Stockman mailing false, and for attacking the credibility of reputable organizations such as Texas Eagle Forum and The Wall Street Journal for reporting on bills he has voted for.

“Mike Jackson likes his claims the same way he likes his immigrants – undocumented,” said Stockman.

“He should apologize to the media for lying to reporters.  He’s lying to reporters and voters in a desperate attempt to hide from documented facts.”

Jackson’s release claims a recent mailing from Stockman contained “false” statements, but despite his repeated assertions Jackson refused to state what, if anything, was “false.”

Here are the claims the mailer made and the the documented facts backing it up:

•       Republicans are asking Mike Jackson to drop out of the race.  Brad Lewis, co-founder of the Southeast Texas Tea Party, has asked Jackson to drop out, citing his extensive liberal voting record.

•       Jackson earned a “Pro-Choice” rating from the National Abortion Rights Action League for his vote on SB 592 (2009,) which would allow some teens girls to access contraception without parental consent.

•       Jackson voted against an amendment to HB 2086 in 2009, which would have imposed tougher penalties on the crime of human trafficking, in which people are smuggled, usually young girls and women for the purposes of forced prostitution

•       Jackson voted for SB 2027, 2007, which creates a special Texas drivers’ license that Eagle Forum notes “gives U.S. ID to foreigners.”  Giving Mexican truckers Texas ID is part of the Trans-Texas Corridor scheme and creates great potential for voter fraud and document smuggling for terrorists.

•       Jackson voted for HB 1448 in 2009, a Democrat-led effort to allow voter registration without providing a Social Security Number, driver’s license or government-issued ID card.

•       Jackson is supported by Dr. Steven Hotze, who published a “voter guide” supporting Jackson and is known for his effort to stop Arizona’s popular anti-illegal alien laws from being passed in Texas

•       Jackson was photographed at an April campaign event in Harris County in which his campaign distributed taxpayer-financed official State documents at his campaign table, which is not allowed, and for using his official taxpayer-financed office for campaign photographs.   Jackson has previously been fined by the Texas Ethics Commission in 2008 for converting political funds for his own personal use.

•       Jackson accepted a $1,000.00 contribution from BNSF PAC, a railroad owned by Obama campaign bankroller Warren Buffett, who is not only leading the fight for Obama’s tax hikes but stands to profit if the     Keystone XL pipeline is killed.

•       Jackson supported for HB 3 in 2005, which created what The Wall Street Journal correctly pointed out is a state income tax in violation of the Texas Constitution.  The Harris County Republican Party issued an official resolution denouncing the Legislature’s vote.

Jackson also told the media a “well-known conservative blogger David Jennings” gave Stockman’s mailer “an independent review.”  What  Jackson did not tell reporters is Jennings is a personal friend who lives two streets over from him.

“Everything about Mike is documented in detail.  Mike Jackson is a liberal and has the documented pro-choice, pro-tax hike, pro-illegal alien votes to prove it,” said Stockman.  “Everything we published about Mike Jackson came from his documented voting record.  His record is so shameful and liberal, his only response to its being published is to throw a tantrum.  Mike Jackson should apologize to the media for lying to reporters and he should also apologize to Texans for voting like a liberal on abortion, taxes and immigration.”
