A congressional debate between two Democrats turned into a Jerry Springer episode.
The debate between two California congressman drawn into the same district, Howard Berman and Brad Sherman, turned downright embarrassing as the crowd began clapping, hooting, whistling and cheering as the debate turned into a near-brawl.
Sherman shoved Berman, then grabbed him and asked if he wanted to fight. A uniformed police officer raced over and separated the two.
The Democrat crowd's response? Wild cheering and applause.
