ATP celebrates overturn of N.Y. fracking ban
‘If American Tradition Partnership can win in New York state, American Tradition Partnership can, and will, win anywhere.’
WASHINGTON – American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson congratulated New York state residents on their governor’s decision to lift a ban on clean water extraction, or “fracking,” Monday.
“This is a huge victory for American Tradition Partnership, which has been fighting to preserve safe, clean water extraction and the thousands of jobs it creates,” said Ferguson.
“I want to thank and congratulate American Tradition Partnership’s large and growing grassroots support. ATP supporters in states across the country have been calling, writing and e-mailing their legislators in support of clean water extraction,” said Ferguson. “Thanks to their support New York state is now on the side of good science and good jobs.”
“The fact thousands upon thousands of wells have been ‘fracked’ for 60 years, with no proven cases of groundwater contamination. Clean water extraction is safe, clean, creates thousands of jobs and provides families with clean, affordable energy.”
“Sadly, the facts and clear science have not stopped radical environmentalists from engaging in a corporate-funded smear campaign. Wind and solar corporations are spending big bucks to spread lies intended to terrorize Americans out of access to jobs and safe, clean energy,” said Ferguson.
“Monday’s actions were a huge victory for American Tradition Partnership’s clean water extraction campaign and a massive defeat for environmentalists,” said Ferguson. “If American Tradition Partnership can win in New York state, American Tradition Partnership can, and will, win anywhere.”
ATP does not advocate the election or defeat of candidates. Powered by grassroots members, ATP is a fast-growing non-profit citizens’ group dedicated to promoting rational, responsible energy and environmental policies.
